The ENOUGH Campaign partners with Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence in Greenwich Rally for Sandy Hook Ride on Washington
Mark your calendars! Come join us and our friends, Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence, on Saturday, March 28 in Greenwich, CT for the inspirational Sandy Hook Ride on Washington! Twenty-six cyclists dedicated to changing the landscape of gun reform for the better are riding from Newtown, CT to our nation's capital with a message to our lawmakers that Americans overwhelmingly support gun safety.
This year, The ENOUGH Campaign is proud to be a partner in the Greenwich Rally for Sandy Hook Ride on Washington along with the Brady Campaign Southwestern CT Chapter. What’s more, CT Against Gun Violence will be co-sponsoring the rally with GCAGV – making this event sure to get even more attention from press, politicians, and people than ever before.
In addition to advocating for universal background checks, the Rally will support proposed CT and federal laws aimed at reducing gun violence directed at women in domestic abuse situations.
Scheduled speakers include Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congressman Jim Himes, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and others.
"Connecticut leads the nation in protecting its communities from gun violence. We need to make our voices heard so Washington does its part," says Jonathan Perloe, a leader of the Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence.
In the case of inclement weather, the rally will be held inside Town Hall. Please direct questions to GreenwichCAGV@icloud.com.
In loving memory of the 26 children and educators who were tragically shot and killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School more than two years ago, Team 26 inspires us to move forward with change and to make our voices heard loud and clear: Not One More!
