As we approach the one year anniversary of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, The ENOUGH Campaign will host a Vigil of Hope in front of the Ferguson Library at One Public Library Plaza in downtown Stamford, CT on December 12, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Join us in loving remembrance for all who have fallen victim to the ongoing epidemic of gun violence in America.
The location of the city of Stamford, CT, which shares the same county as Newtown, was chosen in hopes to draw attention away from the residents of the epicenter of last year's shooting so that they may have their peace during this solemn milestone. Newtown wishes to avert an influx of visitors and media during this one year anniversary. Locals and people from afar who wish to light a candle with us are invited to gather in Stamford instead.
In concurrence with the national vigil being held in Washington D.C. on the same day, this is a peaceful, non-denominational, non-political vigil. All are welcome. Come together to remember the more than 30,000 adults and children lost each year as we gather for hope, peace and love in their honor.
